Bielomatik K2252 infrared or hot plate welder, servos, 2017
49″ x 31″ horizontal tooling & slide, 28.6″ daylight, 800C max temp, infrared cameras, Siemens S7-300 controls, servos with rack & pinion, CE stamped, 40,690 cycles shown
Hot plate welders join halves of thermoplastic parts by holding them against a thermally heated platen to melt the joining surfaces. The heated platen is quickly removed and the parts driven together, allowing them to re-solidify under pressure. Hot plate welded parts are hermetically sealed and have high weld strength. Parts can be large and complex, such as batteries or fluid reservoirs.
